Resonance: Why I Created a Crystal-Enhanced Energetic Recalibration Experience

There are experiences that are easy to describe because they fit neatly into a category.
A massage is a massage. Meditation is meditation. Sound therapy is sound therapy.
Resonance does not fit neatly into one category.
It is a one-to-one experience I created at Awakening Spokane that brings together crystal instruments, tuning forks, vibroacoustic sound, hypnagogic light, meditation, intention, and the intuitive energetic work I have developed through years of exploring consciousness.
At its simplest, Resonance is an invitation to become very still.
At a deeper level, it is an exploration of what can happen when light, sound, vibration, intention, technology, and human presence are brought together within a single experience.
I think of it as energetic recalibration.
Not because I believe a human being is a machine that needs to be repaired.
But because nearly everyone understands the experience of feeling somehow out of tune.
We Live in a World of Constant Input
Modern life asks a great deal of our nervous systems.
We move from screen to screen. Notifications interrupt us. Information arrives continuously.
We carry responsibilities, relationships, decisions, expectations, and often the emotional weight of other people.
Even when the room becomes quiet, the mind may not.
Over time, many people describe feeling overstimulated, scattered, depleted, disconnected, or simply unable to find the internal quiet they remember having.
That observation became one of the foundations of Resonance.
I began asking a very simple question:
What happens when we create an environment in which almost every external demand temporarily disappears?
No phone.
No conversation to maintain.
No decisions.
No problem to solve.
No task to accomplish.
For a little while:
Nothing to do. Nowhere else to be.
That state is the doorway into Resonance.
Why Call It “Resonance”?
Resonance is a useful word because it exists comfortably in several worlds.
In physics, resonance describes the tendency of a system to respond strongly at particular frequencies.
In music, resonance is what gives sound depth, richness, and amplification.
And in everyday language, we say that something resonates with us when we feel an intuitive recognition that may be difficult to explain intellectually.
That intersection fascinated me.
Human beings are profoundly rhythmic.
Our hearts beat. We breathe in cycles. Our brains display patterns of electrical activity. Muscles, nerves, sleep cycles, hormones, and countless biological processes operate through rhythm and communication.
Then there is another language—one that appears across many contemplative and healing traditions.
Different cultures have used words such as chi, prana, aura, life force, subtle energy, or energetic field to describe experiences that people perceive within and around the body.
Those concepts should not be confused with established biological measurements.
I don't need them to be.
For me:
Science helps us understand what can be measured.
Tradition gives us another language for experience.
Resonance allows room for both.
Why Crystals?
Crystals have fascinated human beings for thousands of years.
Part of that fascination is spiritual and symbolic.
But part of it is also simply physical.
A crystal is matter arranged into an unusually consistent internal structure. Its atoms form repeating patterns called a crystal lattice.
That organization gives different minerals distinctive physical properties.
Quartz is particularly interesting because it is piezoelectric.
When mechanical pressure is applied to quartz, it can generate a small electrical potential. Conversely, an electrical field can produce tiny mechanical changes within the crystal.
That physical stability is one reason quartz has played such an important role in watches, electronics, measurement, and frequency control.
None of this proves that a quartz crystal independently “heals” a human energetic field.
That is an important distinction.
In Resonance, I use crystal instruments because of their clarity of tone, resonance, physical structure, symbolism, and the role they play within the intentional experience I am creating.
For me, crystals represent something very beautiful:
Order made visible.
Matter that has formed slowly under particular conditions of heat, pressure, chemistry, and time until its internal structure becomes remarkably coherent.
That is an interesting metaphor for human beings too.
Sometimes the goal isn't to add something new.
Sometimes the goal is to return to greater coherence.
The Four Elements of Resonance
I think about Resonance as four primary elements working together.
1. Crystal + Sound
The experience begins before the Lucia light is turned on.
After we talk about what you are experiencing and establish a simple intention for your session, you recline comfortably.
I begin working with sound.
I use tuning forks and crystal instruments around the body and within the surrounding space.
A tuning fork produces a remarkably pure tone.
Crystal instruments add another quality—bright, sustained, highly resonant sound.
This first portion of the experience is partly about listening and partly about feeling vibration.
I may move an instrument around different areas of the body while paying attention to what I intuitively perceive.
In energetic traditions, people sometimes describe areas that feel constricted, heavy, numb, charged, or “stuck.”
I use that language experientially rather than diagnostically.
If I feel drawn to work more directly with a particular area, I may suggest placing an appropriate tuning fork gently against a clothed area of the body.
Nothing is ever placed on your body without your permission.
Consent is discussed before the session begins, and you can change your mind at any time.
2. Vibration
The second element is the Sage Sound Lounge.
The Sage changes the relationship between you and music.
Instead of only hearing a soundtrack through headphones or speakers, low-frequency components of the sound are transmitted physically through the lounge.
You can feel the music.
Depending on the soundtrack, that sensation may appear as waves, pulses, pressure, movement, or very subtle vibration throughout different parts of the body.
This is known broadly as vibroacoustic sound.
I find that it can make the experience unusually immersive because the distinction between “listening to sound” and “being inside sound” begins to disappear.
The body is participating.
3. Light
Above the Sage is the Lucia N°03 Hypnagogic Light.
The Lucia is experienced with the eyes closed.
It combines steady and flickering light in carefully designed patterns.
Although your eyes remain closed, people can experience astonishing internal visual phenomena:
Color.
Geometry.
Patterns.
Movement.
Imagery.
Depth.
Spaciousness.
Sometimes entire landscapes seem to appear.
There is no movie playing.
Nothing is being projected onto the inside of the eyelids.
The visual experience arises through the interaction between light and your own perceptual system.
This is one of the reasons the Lucia continually fascinates me.
Two people can experience the same program and describe completely different inner worlds.
The technology provides the stimulus.
Your consciousness creates the experience.
4. Intention
And then there is the element technology cannot provide.
Human presence.
While you are immersed in the Lucia and Sage experience, my role changes.
I am no longer primarily operating equipment.
I enter meditation.
I become quiet.
And I begin the intuitive energetic portion of the experience.
Through years of meditation, consciousness work and exploration of altered states, I have developed a sensitivity to what I experience as changes within another person's energetic field.
I cannot present that as a laboratory measurement.
It is an experiential and spiritual practice.
During this portion of Resonance, I hold a specially created pair of copper rods in my hands.
For me, the rods function as ritual conductors—objects that help focus my attention and intention.
I open myself to what I describe as Source energy.
Some people might use a different word.
Universal consciousness.
Life force.
Spirit.
Presence.
The particular terminology matters less to me than the internal state I enter.
I am not trying to force something to happen to you.
I am not deciding what you need.
I am listening.
Sensing.
Holding space.
And working intuitively with what presents itself.
The technology creates the environment.
My role is to hold the field.
What Does “Recalibration” Mean?
I use the word intentionally, but not medically.
Imagine a musical instrument.
Nothing necessarily needs to be replaced.
Nothing is fundamentally wrong with the instrument.
But temperature, movement, tension, time, and use can gradually change its tuning.
The instrument simply benefits from being brought back into relationship with itself.
That metaphor describes the way I think about Resonance.
Stress.
Constant stimulation.
Emotional experiences.
Major life changes.
Relationships.
Grief.
Work.
Technology.
Responsibility.
The accumulation of ordinary life can leave us feeling somehow less coherent.
Resonance creates an environment in which the usual noise is dramatically reduced while multiple forms of sensory input—sound, vibration, light, rhythm—become highly organized.
The energetic work adds a further layer of intention and presence.
Does that mean I can scientifically demonstrate that someone's “energy field has been retuned”?
No.
And I don't think I need to make that claim.
What I can do is create a carefully designed environment in which someone may experience profound stillness, unusual sensory phenomena, deep relaxation, emotional movement, insight, spaciousness, or simply an hour during which they were not required to do anything.
Sometimes that alone is extraordinary.
Your Resonance Experience
Every session has four basic stages.
01 — Arrive
We begin with conversation.
I may ask what you have been noticing lately.
What feels heavy?
What feels open?
What has been asking for your attention?
What would you like more of?
Your intention doesn't need to sound spiritual.
It might simply be:
“I want to feel peaceful.”
That is enough.
02 — Prepare
You recline on the Sage Sound Lounge.
I begin with tuning forks and crystal instruments while intuitively sensing the energetic field.
This prepares the transition from ordinary awareness into the immersive portion of the session.
03 — Recalibrate
The Lucia begins.
Sound moves beneath you.
Light moves above you.
Vibration moves through you.
And I enter meditation and begin the intuitive energetic portion of the experience.
For you, there is nothing to accomplish.
Nothing to do. Nowhere else to be.
04 — Integrate
Eventually the Lucia ends and the room becomes quiet again.
I use crystal sound once more as part of the closing process.
Then we talk briefly about what you noticed.
We may identify an affirmation or intention you want to carry into the days ahead.
Then you return to the world.
Ideally, perhaps, just a little differently than you entered.
What Might You Experience?
This is one of the most important things I tell people before a Resonance session:
There is no experience you are supposed to have.
Human nervous systems are different.
People's sensitivity to sound, vibration, light, emotion, imagery, and subtle energetic experiences varies enormously.
You might notice:
Warmth · Tingling · Emotion · Stillness · Color · Imagery · Spaciousness · Lightness · Deep relaxation · Quiet
You may experience something dramatic.
You may experience something subtle.
You may recognize a shift immediately.
You may understand something several days later.
Or you may simply leave thinking:
That was incredibly relaxing.
All of those are valid experiences.
Resonance is not a performance.
You don't need to produce a mystical event in order for the session to be worthwhile.
Do You Need to Believe in Energy Work?
No.
In fact, I prefer curiosity to belief.
You don't need meditation experience.
You don't need to understand chakras.
You don't need to believe crystals possess healing powers.
You don't need to use the same spiritual language that I use.
You simply need to be willing to experience what happens.
Curiosity is enough.
Why I Limit Resonance to Three Sessions a Day
The technology itself could theoretically operate throughout the day.
I cannot.
At least not while doing this work in the way I want to do it.
The intuitive portion of Resonance requires a very different kind of presence from simply operating a Lucia program.
I need to become quiet.
Focused.
Attentive.
Available.
For that reason, I limit myself to no more than three Resonance experiences in a day.
That is not artificial scarcity.
It is a boundary around the quality of the work.
When you arrive, I want to be able to give you my full presence.
A Meeting Place Between Technology and Mystery
I have spent many years fascinated by consciousness.
Meditation.
Altered states.
Psychedelic experiences.
Light.
Sound.
Vibration.
The nervous system.
Human intuition.
Spiritual practice.
Resonance grew naturally from those explorations.
I don't believe we need to reduce everything mysterious about human consciousness to a scientific explanation.
Nor do I believe we should dress spiritual ideas in scientific terminology simply to make them sound more credible.
There is another possibility.
We can respect what science actually knows.
We can remain honest about what it does not yet establish.
And we can still leave room for mystery.
That is where Resonance lives.
Between measurement and experience.
Between technology and intuition.
Between sound and silence.
Between what we understand and what we simply feel.
Perhaps that is why the experience is called Resonance.
Because somewhere beneath all the explanation, there is only one question that really matters:
What happens when something inside you recognizes the frequency it has been waiting to hear?
Resonance is available at Awakening Spokane as a private 60–75 minute experience for $222.
Light. Sound. Vibration. Intention.
Return to coherence.
